Having these forms filled our prior to your visit allows us to remain focused on you for the duration of your visit.

Medical Emergencies
In the event of a life threatening medical emergency, call medical emergency services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Miranda, and they will contact us.
After Hours Urgent Medical Needs
In the preventive health program, as a concierge member, you will have access to Dr. Miranda’s personal cell phone number for after-hours urgent medical needs.
Prescription Refills
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of South Denver Internal Medicine are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (303) 799-8890. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid any interruption in your medication therapy.
Test Scheduling
If Dr. Miranda suggests a diagnostic test, we will make every effort to schedule this test for you as soon as possible. Many diagnostic tests require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Prior to your scheduled appointment for your test, please check with the facility performing the test to make sure that your test has been authorized by your insurance company.
Referrals
If Dr. Miranda suggests a specialist evaluation that requires an insurance referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Prior to your scheduled specialty appointment please check with the specialist’s office to make sure that your insurance referral was received.
Sky Ridge Medical Center
South Denver Internal Medicine is strategically located so that virtually all of your care can be handled nearby. Our Lone Tree, Colorado office is located near the campus of Sky Ridge Medical Center, a full-service hospital providing emergency services, inpatient care, surgical care, diagnostic imaging services, and outpatient rehabilitation. You will also find a number of high quality specialty physicians with offices on campus. In addition Quest and LabCorp laboratory services are located in the Aspen Building at Sky Ridge.
